Maersk has announced a strike action at the Hutchison Port Delta II in Rotterdam, which began on February 9.
According to Maersk's statement, the strike has led to a temporary halt in operations at the terminal and is related to negotiations for a new collective labor agreement.
Although operations at the Dutch terminal have now resumed, they are still somewhat slowed down.
In its announcement, Maersk stated: "As a result, our team has had to implement some contingency measures while continuing to monitor the labor negotiations at the terminal."
Due to the strike and the operational slowdown, Maersk's container ship Cap San Maleas, scheduled to arrive at Hutchison Port Delta II in Rotterdam on February 10, has canceled its port call. Containers that were to be unloaded in Rotterdam will now be unloaded at PSA Antwerp K913 Noordzee, with an estimated time of arrival (ETA) of February 11.
